How to Set Up GA4 on Your CoolerDesk Site

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tells you where your traffic comes from, what visitors do on your site, and which pages generate the most leads. Here's how to set it up on your CoolerDesk site.

Step 1: Create Your GA4 Property

1. Go to analytics.google.com and sign in with your Google account

3. Enter your CoolerDesk website URL (e.g., yourcompany.coolerdesk.com)

4. Choose your time zone and currency

5. Select "Web" as your platform

6. Copy your Measurement ID (starts with "G-")

Step 2: Provide the ID to CoolerDesk

Email the CoolerDesk support team with your Measurement ID. They'll add it to your site's tracking configuration. The tag is deployed within 24 hours.

Step 3: Verify Tracking

After the tag is deployed:

1. Go to your CoolerDesk site in a browser

2. Install the "GA4 DebugView" Chrome extension

3. Navigate around your site

4. Open GA4 DebugView to confirm events are firing

Step 4: Set Up Key Events

In GA4, configure these as "Conversions":

• chatbot_started — visitor opened the chat
• lead_captured — visitor provided contact info

• page_view — standard, automatically tracked
